Our specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care team meets our memory care residents where they are and develops a custom plan of medical care and social activity to preserve cognitive function and memory for as long as possible.
Speret Hall is a community living model Altercare developed to empower residents with a sense of belonging in a safe, comfortable environment. These secured residential wings offer peace of mind for families and give residents opportunities to perform purposeful tasks and restore self-esteem. We believe inclusion and comfort are essential to well-being of our memory care residents, and Speret Hall embodies this concept.

A Legacy of Memory Care
Altercare recognized the unique needs of people suffering from Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia in 1978 and were pioneers in developing specialized care with the Alzheimer's Association. We continue to refine care practices today, taking advantage of the data analysis opportunities our electronic health records provide. By reviewing resident trends in food consumption and weight loss, for example, we can head off potential issues early.
For families, we offer resources, support caregiver wellbeing and foster understanding of how to connect with their loved one.
Welcoming families in and encouraging a return to home life requires knowledge, decisions and emotional support. We offer opportunities to learn and share through volunteering, support groups where you can meet other families. For more information on Memory Care Support Group resources, contact a center nearest you or see our Support Group Information flyer for more detail.
